Job Title : Lecturer in Law

Location : Lusaka, Zambia – Supershine University (School of Law)

Job Purpose

To deliver high‑quality instruction across diverse LLB modules, contribute to curriculum development, guide student research, engage in scholarly activities, and support institutional and community initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and deliver lectures and tutorials in core legal areas (e.g., Tort, Jurisprudence, Conveyancing, Criminal Procedure, IT Law).

Design and continuously update course outlines, syllabi, and teaching materials to align with academic and professional standards

Conduct assessments : set and mark assignments, exams, and practical work; provide timely and constructive feedback cbu.ac.zm.

Supervise dissertations, moot court exercises, and student research projects .

Undertake original research, publish in peer‑reviewed journals, and present at academic conferences.

Integrate e‑learning and blended teaching methodologies into class delivery.

Participate actively in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and quality assurance processes.

Provide mentorship and academic guidance to students regarding academic and career progression.

Engage in community services, legal outreach, and partnerships with industry and civil society.

Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by Head of Department or Dean.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a recognized university (minimum credit level).

Master of Laws (LLM) required; PhD in Law preferred or in progress

Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching Methodology or Lectureship desirable.

Admission or eligibility to practice law through ZIALE / LAZ is advantageous.

Minimum 3 years experience teaching law at tertiary level; evidence of industry or legal practice experience will be an added asset .

Proven track record in research and academic publications; supervision of student research beneficial

Proficiency in educational technologies and e‑learning platforms
