Job descriptionMaster’s degree or equivalent professional experience in project evaluation, international development, conservation or a closely related field. Minimum 10 years of international experience in evaluating donor-funded programs or projects. Strong knowledge of evaluation methodologies, including participatory and mixed methods. Experience with GEF-funded projects and evaluation requirements . Technical expertise in nature-based tourism, conservation, local / community enterprises, and resilience . Experience working in multicultural contexts, with knowledge of or field experience in Southern and Eastern Africa . Fluency in English (working language for the assignment). Familiarity with social and environmental safeguards and gender-responsive evaluation is an asset.

As part of our international development activities, we are seeking a Senior Expert in Nature-Based Tourism and Conservation to provide high-level technical and strategic support to a multi-country initiative across Southern and Eastern Africa.
