1. HEAVY MINE EQUIPMENT SUPERVISORS X 3
This position reports to the Maintenance Manager / Project Manager. Successful candidate will be responsible for the below duties.
JOB SUMMARY
The Mine Heavy Equipment Supervisor is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and ensuring the effective maintenance and repair of heavy mining equipment and mobile plant machinery. This role ensures that mechanical systems operate efficiently and safely, supporting production goals while minimizing downtime and maintenance costs.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities for heavy mobile equipment such as haul trucks, bulldozers, loaders, excavators, and graders.
- Develop and enforce preventive maintenance schedules and standards to minimize equipment downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical faults and failures, ensuring quick resolution through repair or replacement of parts.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment performance.
- Ensure the availability of spare parts and tools; coordinate with procurement and inventory teams.
- Monitor technician performance, provide technical guidance, and conduct training where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, policies, and procedures (e.g. OSHA regulations).
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., operations, planning, and engineering) to align maintenance schedules with production goals.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits on mechanical systems and equipment.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives for maintenance strategies and equipment reliability.
- Prepare reports on equipment status, downtime analysis, and maintenance KPIs for management review.
- Develop, implement, and maintain safe work procedures and promote high safety and health awareness. Promote and comply with the Occupational Health & Safety Policy.
- Be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the team.
- Ensure appropriate facilities, procedures, and workforce competence to achieve legal compliance, incident prevention and the achievement of tasks in an environmentally sustainable manner.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.Minimum 5–8 years of experience in mechanical maintenance of heavy mining equipment.At least 2–3 years in a supervisory or leadership role within a mining environment.Strong knowledge of hydraulic, diesel engine, and mechanical systems.Familiar with equipment from OEMs such as Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi, or Liebherr.Proficient in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.Must have a valid driver’s license.2. This position reports to the Heavy Mine Equipment Supervisor. Successful candidate will be responsible for the below duties.
JOB SUMMARY
The Heavy Mine Equipment Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of heavy-duty mining equipment used in surface or underground operations. This includes excavators, haul trucks, loaders, dozers, drills, graders, and other mobile or fixed plant equipment. The technician ensures that all equipment is maintained in accordance with safety, reliability, and production standards.
Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy mobile mining equipment.Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical faults.Use computerized systems (e.g., onboard diagnostics, CMMS) to track and manage maintenance tasks.Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings.Replace or repair faulty components such as engines, transmissions, final drives, suspension, and braking systems.Conduct welding and fabrication tasks when required.Complete maintenance records, safety checklists, and job cards accurately and timely.Follow all mine site safety protocols and company policies.Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance.Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.Support training and mentoring of junior technicians or apprentices.Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
Diploma in Heavy Duty Mechanic, Diesel Fitter, or equivalent.Minimum 3–5 years of experience maintaining heavy mining or construction equipment.Proficiency in servicing major OEMs (e.g., Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi, and Liebherr).Familiarity with hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and diagnostic software.Valid driver’s license for heavy vehicle or equipment licenses is required.Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous learning.Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)OEM certifications or advanced diagnostics training.High-Risk Work Licenses (e.g., forklift, EWP, rigging, dogging).Welding and fabrication certifications.3. FUEL AND SERVICE TRUCK TECHNICIANS X 12
This position reports to the Heavy Mine Equipment Supervisors. Successful candidate will be responsible for the below duties.
JOB SUMMARY
The Fuel and Service Truck Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient refueling, servicing, and minor maintenance of mobile heavy equipment and light vehicles across the mine or project site. This role ensures that all machines are fuelled, lubricated, and topped up with fluids in accordance with operational schedules and safety standards to maximize equipment availability and uptime.
Responsibilities
Operate fuel and lube trucks to deliver diesel, engine oil, hydraulic oil, coolant, and grease to mobile and stationary equipment on-site.Perform scheduled fuelling and fluid top-up services based on dispatch requirements or equipment hours.Inspect equipment during servicing and report any visual defects or operational concerns.Maintain accurate service records, fuel / lube usage logs, and pre-start inspections.Ensure correct quantities and types of fluids are dispensed according to OEM specifications.Conduct basic maintenance tasks such as filter changes, greasing, and fluid sampling.Assist with housekeeping of fuelling bays and mobile service units.Adhere to site environmental procedures regarding spill prevention, containment, and clean-up.Communicate regularly with dispatch, maintenance, and operations teams regarding service needs.Follow all mine site safety policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
Certificate or Diploma in Light Vehicle Mechanic or Heavy Duty Mechanic, Diesel Fitter, or equivalent.Prior experience in a mining, construction, or industrial setting preferred.Competency in operating heavy service or fuel trucks.Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of heavy equipment servicing.Current driver’s license for heavy equipment.Familiarity with safe fuel handling and fluid transfer practices.Ability to work independently in remote field conditions.Spill response and environmental awareness training.Familiarity with computerized service tracking systems or fleet management tools.Forklift, EWP, or other high-risk licenses (as required).
