Job Overview :

Green2000 Zambia is seeking a skilled and reliable Welder with proven experience in butt welding to join our technical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing high-quality welds on plastic and metal pipes, components, and fittings used in agricultural systems, particularly irrigation installations.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform precise and clean butt welding on pipes and fittings according to technical specifications and project needs.
Interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and verbal instructions.
Prepare, align, and clamp components before welding.
Operate welding machines and related tools, ensuring proper setup and safety compliance.
Conduct post-weld inspections and quality checks to verify strength, durability, and accuracy.
Assist in the installation of irrigation systems and infrastructure as needed.
Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
Adhere strictly to company safety protocols and procedures.

Requirements :

Proven experience in butt welding (plastic or metal, specify if needed).

Ability to work with a variety of welding equipment and tools.

Basic understanding of mechanical and piping systems.

Good physical condition and ability to work outdoors and on-site.

Strong attention to detail and ability to produce clean, accurate welds.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge of workplace health and safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications :

Certification in welding or pipe fitting (an advantage).

Experience working in the agricultural or irrigation industry.

Valid driver’s license (preferred but not required).
