The Role :
The aim of this role is to drive OCA vehicles as assigned for office errands, out-of-station or field trips, and provide administration support while at station by, among other duties, assisting with managing assets, monitoring fuel, stationery, and office supplies storage and consumption, vehicle maintenance, office maintenance, and other duties as may be required.
Responsibilities and Tasks :
Vehicle and Logistics
Ensure that :
- Vehicles are driven as assigned
- OCA vehicles’ registration, road tax, fitness, and insurance are up to date
- OCA vehicles are serviced within the specified service period
- Vehicles are returned to OCA after repair to ensure that servicing and / or maintenance reported has been done
- Pre-shift checks are routinely conducted to ensure that vehicles are in sound operating condition and compliant to all road traffic regulations (e.g., fitness certificate, road tax license, triangles, etc.) before driving
- An up-to-date record of daily travel is kept by making entries of trips in the vehicle logbook
- Ensure that logbooks are filled in correctly and uploaded electronically bi-weekly
- Vehicles are kept secure when at station and in the field, and that keys are well secured when not in use
Fire Safety and First Aid
Ensure that :
Assigned vehicle has a First Aid box with unexpired productsAssigned vehicle has a service fire extinguisherStaff are sensitized during field tripsField Trips
