Well-established Travel Brand Built over a 26-year History is looking for an experienced TRADE AND REVENUE MANAGER

Looking for a commercially focused professional who can immediately drive value through revenue strategy and active trade relationship management. We are seeking a very specific profile : a candidate who is "pre-loaded" with existing industry relationships, deep knowledge of the African safari landscape, and the skills to both nurture and strategically high-grade a substantial portfolio of established trade partners.

Core Criteria :

  • Proven experience in African safari bookings and luxury travel sales.
  • Strong understanding of agency relationships, allocations, contracting, and FIT sales flow.
  • Deep knowledge of trade commission structures and operator margins.
  • Proficiency with reservation systems and revenue management tools.
  • Mid-level professional with significant proven experience in the luxury safari travel industry.
  • Commercially focused and results-oriented.
  • Relationship-driven with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive self-starter capable of working autonomously.
  • Analytical mindset for budget planning and yield management.

Candidate Responsibilities :

  • Revenue Management :  Developing pricing and rate sheets, managing allocations / stop-sells, and producing occupancy forecasts to improve yield and deliver on targeted net yields and bednight bookings as established in the budget planning process.
  • Trade Relationships : Inheriting, nurturing, and strategically high-grading a robust set of existing agency and advisor relationships. Conducting webinars / trainings and expanding our exposure with key existing and new partners to drive repeat business.
  • Reservations Leadership :  Managing the reservations workflow, enforcing response times, and improving conversion rates.
  • Digital Marketing Overlap. Working with our brand team to ensure that our story is being effectively received by the trade.
  • Drive B2B trade relationships, inheriting and nurturing existing connections while identifying new opportunities. High-grading relationships where necessary to ensure alignment with brand goals.
  • Package :

  • Location :  Flexible (Remote or Hybrid). Ideally based in South Africa or Zambia but open to other countries as well.
  • Compensation : $50,000–$65,000 total compensation.
  • Benefits :  Bonus potential (10–15%) and familiarization travel to Zambia.
  • Housing and Meals provided if candidate moves to Mfuwe, Zambia
  • Standard working days are Monday–Friday, with flexibility required during trade shows or peak booking periods.
