Overview

  • Our client in the Automotive Industry looking for a Dispatch Clerk to join their team; Duties and responsibilities include but are not subject to;
  • Oversee and supervise daily dispatch activities to ensure optimal utilization of the inventory.
  • Responsible for inventory management in the cold stores by managing and maintaining stock.
  • levels to aid sales and production thereby ensuring optimal stock levels.
  • Oversee logistics and distribution operations to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Responsible for Stock level planning to aid sales and production in ensuring optimal model
  • stock levels and analyzes inventory and transfer of stock across sub-departments.
  • Prepare reports on the daily, weekly, and monthly stock movement and any other issues that
  • may arise and share the same with the line manager.
  • Manage staff allocation, route planning activities, market challenges, order management,
  • short supply gaps and any department issues as they arise
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all matters pertaining to dispatch, stores, and
  • logistics as is required.
  • Clearly marking all products to ensure products are dispatched on a FIFO / FEFO basis
  • Analyze and approve PODs (Proof of deliveries), credit notes, and returns / claims
  • Provide leadership, manage, and develop a credible and high-performing team.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Undertaking stock takes and reporting of the results clearly justifying any variances
  • Ensure that pricing is correctly done on the invoices in view of variation in our customer
  • pricing as a policy
  • Any other job-related tasks assigned by the supervisor.

  • Key Qualifications;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Management or any related field is a requirement.
  • Professional qualifications in warehouse / distribution are a requirement or relevant field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office tools e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point t is required.
  • Experience in using Inventory systems (IT systems / ERPs- Navision) is desirable.
