1. PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER

Reports to : Head Corporate Planning

Job Details

The position requires a dynamic, self-motivated person with proven Public Relations experience and the ability to work with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

Develop PR campaigns and media relations strategies;
Efficiently producing and effectively disseminating approved publicity materials (brochures, videos, social media posts etc.), developing good relationship with customers, stakeholders and the media;
Formulation of Public Relations policies and procedures;
Organize PR events (e.g. open days, press conferences) prepare and distribute press releases;
Management of customer relationship activities to ensure attainment of customer satisfaction;
Seek opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising;
Address inquiries from the media, track media coverage and follow industry trends.

Qualifications and Experience

Full Grade twelve School Certificate with at least five ‘O’ level credits including English language and Mathematics;

Degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Mass Communications or a related field;

Diploma in Public administration will be an added advantage;

Computer literate – fully conversant with Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet;

At least 3 years working experience in a similar position;

Excellent communication skills (oral and written), proactive and innovative, able to plan events, good organizational skills with assertive attitude;

Experience managing media relations (online, broadcast and print);

Member of the Zambia Institute of Public Relations and Communication.

2. PLANT OPERATORS / PLANT ATTENDANTS

Job Purpose

To operate Water Treatment Plants and Booster Stations in a professional manner and ensure water production, distribution and quality targets are met.

Qualifications and / or skills

Full Grade twelve School Certificate with at least five ‘O’ level credits including English language and Mathematics;

Craft Certificate in water supply operations;

Must provide own accommodation in Solwezi district.

Member of EIZ

Responsibilities

Operation of both raw and high lift water pumps;

Operation and management of flocculators, sedimentation tanks and filters;

Proper usage and dosing of water treatment chemicals;

Maintaining relevant plant records;

Carry out Basic Electrical and Mechanical routine planned and repair maintenance;

Maintaining working environment in an acceptable state of cleanness and tidiness;

Handing over plant to relieving operator in a systematic manner;

Securing plant equipment from damage from preventable causes and from theft.;

Carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time by senior officials;

And other responsibilities that may be assigned by the hierarchy in the interest of the company.
