Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Branch Manager to lead the operations of a high-volume retail supermarket. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of store performance , including sales, staff management, inventory control, customer service, and compliance. This role demands strong leadership, commercial acumen, and a hands-on approach to retail excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily store operations to ensure efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction
- Manage and motivate a diverse team of supervisors, cashiers, merchandisers, and support staff
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to meet revenue and margin targets
- Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, and shrinkage control
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and statutory requirements
- Handle customer queries and complaints with professionalism and urgency
- Coordinate with head office on promotions, pricing, and supply chain logistics
- Prepare and submit operational reports, including sales, expenses, and staff performance
- Drive continuous improvement in service delivery, store presentation, and team productivity
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related fieldMinimum 5 years’ experience in retail operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial roleProven ability to lead teams and manage high-pressure environmentsStrong understanding of retail KPIs, merchandising principles, and inventory systemsExcellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systemsFluency in English; local language skills are an added advantage
