Responsibilities
The Data Collectors will be responsible for conducting structured surveys for health care providers providing birthing services in the AMPLI-PPHI-supported sites. The data collectors will work under the supervision of the Zambia study lead / Principal Investigator and will be responsible for conducting surveys and other data collection activities as required by the study protocol.
Data Collection :
- Administer structured surveys for maternity care providers
- Ensure written informed consent is obtained from all participants prior to data collection.
- Record data accurately and completely, using project computer tablets (with participant consent) and provide clarification to survey questions where necessary
Data Management :
Ensure the confidentiality and security of all data collected.Submit survey responses online using the Kobo Collect platformSubmit related documentation and a copy of written and signed consent to the Jhpiego supervisor on a daily basisMaintain organized records of all data collection activities.Logistics and Coordination :
Arrange and schedule data collection time with participants, ensuring recruitment is in line with study SOPs and research protocols.Travel to data collection sites within the designated areas.Coordinate with healthcare facilities to facilitate data collection.Manage and maintain data collection equipment (., tablets, chargers).Ethical Considerations :
Adhere to all ethical guidelines and protocols for research involving human subjects.Maintain the privacy and confidentiality of all participants.Report any ethical concerns to the supervisor immediately.Other Duties :
Attend training sessions on data collection methods and study protocols.Participate in team meetings and provide regular updates on data collection progress.Assist with other project-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.Required Qualifications
A minimum of a Diploma in Public Health, Nursing, Social Sciences, or a related field. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.Prior experience in quantitative data collection,At least 2 years’ experience working in quantitative research methods, research projects, including conducting surveys, is highly desirable.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build rapport with participants from diverse backgrounds.Fluency in EnglishStrong interviewing and facilitation skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical research principles.Proficiency in using data collection tools and systems (., computer tablets).Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).Other Requirements :
