Job Description

Zambia Sugar Plc. is a subsidiary of Illovo Sugar Africa (Pty) Ltd Group and is the leading sugar producer in Zambia. Its main activities are the growing of sugar cane, the production and marketing of sugar and other sugar downstream products.

The company invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following positions under the Manufacturing Department.

SAP DATA ENTRY OFFICERS x 4 – PERMANENT

MANUFACTURING DEPARTMENT (NAKAMBALA)

The position reports to the Production Shift Foreman (Packaging).

Key Performance Areas

• Ensuring that the Sugar Handover process is done following all SHERQ guidelines.
• Conduct physical stock taking of sugar in the Warehouse Handover Cage during the handover process.
• Conduct the physical verification of sugar stock in the handover cage together with the Warehouse Foreman and a Security Representative.
• Undertake generation of Sugar Handover Certificate after verifying the stock with all the parties involved during the handover process.
• Filing the Handover Certificates and distributing copies to all the parties as described on the distribution list.
• Completing the Goods Receipt Transaction in SAP based on data from the source document (i.e. Handover Certificate). This transaction is to be performed at the end of each physical handover process within the same shift.
• Completing the Quality Inspection process in SAP resulting in transferring the stock in PR01 Location which is the virtual handover cage.
• Reconciliation of sugar stock between SAP and Handover certificates at the end of each shift.
• Extension of Production Packing Orders on shift for orders which are almost depleted.
• Liaising with Warehouse Foreman and prompting the transfer of stock from PR01 to Warehouse locations to ensure the PR01 location is kept up-to date.
• Reconciling stock in SAP & Handover certificates between Packing Station and Warehouse.
• Escalating any erroneous transactions requiring cancellation or reversal to the Packing Station Foreman and effecting the correction through the RCA system.
• Effecting Goods Issuing transactions in SAP and Confirming Transactions.
• Filing of all SAP and physical handover related documentation and making the records available readily when required.
• Promote and adhere to Illovo’s procedures, policies and guidelines, including, without limitation, those relating to SHERQ, Competition Law and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC).
